Lately, it seems like every time I get caught up, ready to get back into the groove of things, there's a setback of some sort. For the past couple of weeks, it has been shingles. I am so thankful that it was only a little uncomfortable and not super painful, as it can be for some people. The worst part for me has been the fatigue. I'm feeling pretty good this week, though, and going to try playing hockey again tomorrow night. Hopefully this will be it for a while and I'll enjoy a healthy summer! I think a lesson of learning to rest, relax, and take care of myself has been on the agenda so far this year.
Memorial Day was a much-needed three-day weekend, involving a salon day, Waterfire in Providence, a trip to the zoo, and good food at my brother's restaurant. We also visited loved ones who have passed on, and remembered those who have made great sacrifices for our freedom. Here are a few photos from the weekend, along with some flower photos I had wanted to share last week.
