A couple of months ago, I bought a Groupon for Mystic Seaport, thinking Joshua may enjoy going to see the boats. It's only 30 minutes from our house, and since the Groupon expires next week, we decided to go down today. Joshua had a complete blast exploring the boats, playing captain, and even building his own wooden toy boat. I enjoyed the beautiful weather, glimpses of fall foliage, and waterfront views. These trips to historical New England destinations are my favorite to take in Autumn. For some reason, that's when history seems to come alive for me around here.
