Joshua and I bundled up and headed outside on Saturday morning. The temperature was a balmy 36 degrees Fahrenheit, and there was snow in the yard to enjoy! We ended up staying outside for over two hours and didn't realize it had been that long. I'm hurting today from running up the hill (several times) and sliding down on my stomach on a sled that is basically a boogie board. When did I get so old? Oh well, it was totally worth it.
"You're taking a photo of that?" he questioned. He doesn't know me very well, apparently.
Finally, snowman snow! The light, fluffy stuff doesn't stay together, although it's much easier to shovel.
Final touches on Mr. YouMeltInTheSummer. Joshua picked the name and added the antenna (which is becoming a theme with our snowmen... and he thinks I'm weird for taking a photo of a pinecone). He hopes to get back out soon to build him either a spaceship "or a friend."
This snow is also great for making snowballs, and hitting them around the yard with a hockey stick.
Deer were here.
Sledding really wore him out. And me, too.
Just chillin'.
