Today's assignment was to find a simple, everyday object (something from a bookshelf, junk drawer, etc.) and photograph it, giving it some "wonder and enchantment" and focusing on its details. My first choice was a little figurine my mother had given me that used to sit on my desk -- a little gnome drinking tea. But that is packed away somewhere (who knows where) so I went with this turtle ring. Given to me by my grandparents, it was my favorite ring as a little girl. Although it doesn't fit even my pinkie anymore, I keep it in my jewelry box and see it often.
